TOGETHER AT HYDROGEN TRADE SHOW IN JAPAN

02-12-2024

The German Fuel Cell Cooperation (GFC) will, for the first time, present its interface-tuned complete line for manufacturing metallic bipolar plates in Japan, thereby targeting the Asian and American markets The three collaborative partners, VON ARDENNE, Weil Technology, and ZELTWANGER, will present their solution from February 28th to March 1st, 2024, at the International Hydrogen & Fuel Cell Expo in Tokyo. ZELTWANGER contributes its expertise in the automated leak testing to the highly productive facility.

Bipolar plates stacked in layers are key components of fuel cells. They distribute gases such as hydrogen and oxygen across the plate surface, separate gas between the cells, and seal off to the exterior. The leak testing of bipolar plates is crucial to ensure that no gases or liquids can escape between the plates or to the exterior.
